Landfill gas is captured at selected landfills where biodegradable waste has been deposited - exclusively at the landfill where the biogas is produced in technically processable quantities.
The landfill gas captured is treated and used for energy production. In cases where the captured landfill gas cannot be used for energy production, it is burned in an environmentally safe way.
