The landfill is constructed according the European and international trends at a safe distance from the residential and recreational zones, water streams and resources, reservoirs, including their protection zones and inundation areas. Its construction takes place only when climatic and weather conditions are suitable to ensure the quality of sealing elements and layers, with an emphasis on geological, hydrological, hydrogeological and engineering geological conditions in the area. During its construction, protection of nature and landscape is ensured.
The landfill facility has a sealing system, a drainage system with a leachate collection tank, a landfill gas drainage system, a groundwater monitoring system, a leak monitoring system for HDPE foil, a landfill gas monitoring system and a surface water drainage system.
The landfill includes infrastructure, fencing, paved access roads, waste receiving weight, landfill body shedding and fire-fighting system, equipment for cleaning vehicles.
The landfill is secured by fencing against free access to its body and its premises without the consent of the operator, thus preventing the import and removal of waste to and from the landfill.
The landfill is built in such a way that it is possible to drain and collect leakage liquids, control the leakage regime and control the penetration of rainwater into the landfill body during its operation.
When deposited in the landfill, bulky waste is treated by shredding, it is deposited on the landfill in layers, compacted and individual layers are covered with technological material.
The landfill body is shaped to the desired shape, the heights and slopes of the body are sanded and treated with technological material so that it is ready for subsequent reclamation.
